This beautiful item here is the civil version of this military cockpit clock, mostly intended to use in vehicles. The movement is open, without case back, because the clock was mounted into the dashboard. You can see how nicely were Soviet movements decorated back in the 50s! The production date 3-55 (third quarter 1955) is on the bridge.
The welt around the dial is for winding and also (pull) setting the time.
