- How to display the text on the glass?
- In order to display the text on the glass, you need to have a smartphone or tablet and an application installed on it (e.g. "Elegant Teleprompter"/
"Simple Teleprompter"/
"SUFLER.PRO"
for Android or "Teleprompter with mirroring" / "Parrot Teleprompter" / "dv Prompter" for iOS). The text pasted into the app is mirrored, which means that a re-reflection onto the glass will display the text "correctly" again and ensures you a smooth reading. The scroll speed and font size can be adjusted optionally. Using a Bluetooth mouse, you are able to pause, rewind, and fast-forward the text whenever you want.
- Is my camera suitable?
- In general, the Black Fish can be used in combination with any camera. If you have a small or middle-size camera, you do not need to buy an additional tripod. The camera can be easily placed on the elongated hole so that the lens of your camera will not collide with the glass. If you have a large-size camera or objective, you will probably need an additional tripod (which is not included in the set).
- What kind of glass do you use?
- For the reflection of the text we use professional beam splitter glass (70/30). Thanks to a special transparent layer that does not have usual glass, this glass is able to mirror the text particularly clearly. If you need beam splitter glass only, you can order it here:

- What should I pay attention to when working with a teleprompter?
- In order to avoid reading eye movements from the viewer’s perspective, the distance between the prompter and the eyes should be adapted to the font size and width of the text. The smaller / wider the text on the projection device, the farther the speaker should stand from the prompter. If you, for instance, use a smartphone horizontally, the distance should be at least 1.5 m. In case of a tablet, it has to be increased. In order to look as natural as possible on camera, do not forget to make slight body movements while reading, use your hands from time to time, avert your gaze while "thinking", sometimes speak faster, slower, louder, softer, sometimes pause, etc.
