Background Keys were used as the basis for the colour setting and creation of backgrounds by other artists. In a sense they were the original designs on which the actual backgrounds used in the production of the episodes.

Comes with a Studio Seal and COA!
This art was used in the production of the show and is therefore marked as used. The art has been stored in Itoya portfolios since I acquired it many years ago. Note that some of the art might have corners cut off or creases (please check the photos) which was done during the production of the show. This is how I received the art.
While these days most (if not all) cartoons are animated digitally, earlier they were all hand drawn. Several Cartoon Network shows, including Samurai Jack, Dexter's Laboratory and the Clone Wars, actually fall in between. The backgrounds were hand-painted and typically used directly in the show (with some minimal digital touching up in some cases), but the actual moving characters were first drawn in pencil and then animated digitally.
The drawing comes with the official Cartoon Network seal and with a certificate of authenticity.
It is thick cardboard, not the usual paper used for the backgrounds and therefore a lot sturdier.

About shipping
Please note that the item is based in Europe and that shipping to the US is costly, even more so with the current pandemic. Standard shipping has generally been relegated to sea freight (quoting time on the ocean 30-45 days). I've chosen to only offer air shipping as the transit times are too long otherwise.
I only ship with priority shipping and including insurance.
Packages will be declared for full value, sorry no exceptions (this ties in to the insurance value)
