It delivers sharp, richly contrasted thermal imaging and a large detection range. Please see the video below for an overview of the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope.
1350m Detection Range
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s advanced thermal sensor and high-quality germanium optics provide a maximum detection range of 1350m, even in total darkness.
Full-Colour HD AMOLED Display
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s full-colour HD AMOLED display delivers fluid, high-resolution thermal imaging with a crisp, richly contrasted and vividly coloured field-of-view (9.8°) at temperatures ranging from -25°C to +50°C. AMOLED technology also conserves the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s battery power.
Imaging Tools & Functions
Software algorithms increase image clarity, sharpness and detail. This improves the ease with which animals, animals’ extremities and small details, such as branches, leaves, grass and terrain, can be identified.
Colour Palettes
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope includes selectable White Hot, Black Hot, Red Hot, Rainbow, Ultramarine, Violet, Red Monochrome and Sepia thermal colour palettes. The Red Hot, Rainbow, and Ultramarine thermal palettes highlight the most intense hot spots, while Violet, Red Monochrome and Sepia can be used to reduce eye fatigue over long periods of observation.
Customisable Reticle
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope also features colour-customisable reticles. All reticles, including scalable reticles, are available in black, white, red or green.
Variable Digital Zoom
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s digital zoom can be altered between 2.5x and 10.0x (4.0x). It can be used to improve focus and target recognition at significant distances.
Picture-in-Picture Function
The Picture-in-Picture function can be used to determine precise shot placement. The user can magnify particular image details without losing the overall field-of-view. The PIP frame is displayed in the top-centre 10% of the FOV.
Video & Still-Photo Recording
Thousands of images or hours of footage can be saved to the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s internal 16GB memory. Videos are saved as MPEG-4 files while images are saved as .jpg files.
Wi-Fi Connectivity & Stream Vision App Compatibility
Using a Wi-Fi connection and the Stream Vision App (available for free for Android and iOS), the user can stream footage to his/her smartphone or tablet in real-time, enabling him/her to use it as a second display. It is also possible to transfer saved videos and images from the riflescope to a smartphone or tablet via this connection.
Additionally, firmware updates can be uploaded to the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope using a Wi-Fi connection and the Pulsar Stream Vision App. Moreover, the user can adjust the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s settings via this app and a Wi-Fi connection allowing him/her to use his/her smartphone or tablet as a remote control.
Zeroing Profiles Management
Up to five zeroing profiles can be saved to the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s 16GB memory. Each profile may contain a maximum of ten distance coordinates. Zeroing profiles enable quick rifle change-outs and in-the-field adjustments.
User-Friendly Controls
All of the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s menu options, settings and functions can be accessed using the three function buttons located at the top of the weapon sight, as well as the encoder situated on the left side of the riflescope.
Mount on Standard 30mm Scope Rings
Hunters can mount the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope onto standard 30mm scope rings without using specialist tools or equipment.
High Recoil Rating
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is suitable for use with large calibre rifles such as .375 H&H, 12-gauge, and 9.3x64. This is because it has a high, 6000 joules recoil rating.
Rugged, IPX7, All-Metal Housing
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is contained within a lightweight, fully reinforced, all-metal housing.
It has a waterproof rating of IPX7, making it suitable for use in heavy rain and snow. The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope will remain fully operational even after submersion in up to 1m of water for approximately thirty minutes.
B-Pack Mini Combined Power System
The Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope is powered by an internal battery, as well as an easily accessible external battery. The external battery extends the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s operating time and can be replaced within seconds.
Instant Start-Up
Also extending the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope’s operating time is its instant start-up. As the Pulsar Thermion XQ38 Thermal Imaging Weapon Scope can be powered on within seconds, due to the inclusion of revolutionary electronics, it can be left switched off until the moment it is required.
