Piasecki H-21
was the fourth structure of the company, utilizing tandem rotor system. Due to the characteristic shape of the hull, these helicopters were called flying bananas. American army had first relatively large helicopter, capable of transporting 22 fully equipped infantrymen, or 12 stretchers with two rescuers. Helicopters of this type were equipped army, air force, Marine Corps of the United States, as well as France, Japan, Canada, the Federal Republic of Germany and Sweden.
