Design Marianne Starck large Tray & 2 dishes "Vikings", 1950/60
A beautiful studio pottery Danish tray & 2 dishes from Michael Andersen & Son, Bornholmsk Keramik, designed by Marianne Starck (born 1931 in Germany, joined the Danish Pottery 1955 & produced some fabulous & collectable pieces in her time there)
It features a playful modernist design depicting 3 vikings in a boat with the Persia craquelure glaze in red, blue and yellow. Stamped on bottom with the Michael Andersen "3 fish" mark, and "MS" painted mark for Marianne Stark & some Numbers"566I/I" (tray, "58/7"? & "57/7"?
In excellent vintage condition, with no cracks or chips. Some very little manufacturing pops and glaze drips here and there.
