Die Cosmelan Creme kann im Rahmen einer professionellen cosmelan-Startbehandlung in der Ordination mit intensiver Cosmelan-Wirkstoffmaske angewendet werden. In diesem Fall wird mit der cosmelan2 Creme, 48 Stunden nach Entfernung der Maske, die Behandlung zu Hause fortgesetzt. Es ist wichtig, dass der Patient/die Patientin genau dem Ablaufprotokoll folgt, um die optimalen Resultate zu erzielen. Cosmelan2 cream steigert die Depigmentierungswirkung der cosmelan1 Maske und hemmt das Auftreten von dunklen Flecken. Die Haut muss regelmäßig und ausreichend mit Feuchtigkeit versorgt (z.B. Melan Recovery) werden, bei extrem trockener Haut ist bei Bedarf die abendliche Versorgung durch die Hyaluronsäuremaske (hydra vital face mask) empfohlen.
