BEAULIEU 4008 ZM WITH BATTERY CONVERSION PACK SUPER 8 CAMERA.
Comes with the super rare S4008 Dummy Socket and  a battery conversion kit. The dummy socket and the battery kit represent a big chunk of the value here. The battery pack is designed to be placed in your shirt pocket.
The kit has to be used with 6 standard rechargeable 1.2V AA batteries, this way the camera receives 7.2V and the Reglo system receives 3.6V as per the specs.
!!!!If you insert normal AA batteries, you will damage the camera!!!!
The camera runs ok in all speeds.
The motor assisted zoom and aperture works.
I tested it with 200 Asa setting and by pointing the camera at the sun the aperture ring travels to the max setting of F16, by fully obstructing the lens, it returns to F1.4. From one end to the other, it travels in around 10 sec. Variable shutter ok.
I haven't run film through it, I can't guarantee light meter reading accuracy.
The lens is in decent condition. Has very minor marks, couple of small floaters. No fungus. The middle element has a slight hint of haze that would wipe away easy but I won't open the lens. For the naked eye it is not really visible.
